Better domain recommendations in the domain search

We first introduced the domain recommendations tab back in 2015. Its purpose is to offer your customers alternative if their preferred domain name is not available.

In the past weeks, our devs have taken to revamp it to make it even more useful.

As of the last week, every time a customer uses the domain search form on the order page, he will see a custom-tailored list of site name hints.

Plus, the domain recommendations are now available with all generic domain extensions.

What to expect from the newly tuned-up domain recommendations system?

Innovative ML techniques – by means of sophisticated ML paradigms, the Name Suggestion API will swiftly predict your clients’ query intents and will deliver relevant site name tips whose selection will be determined by the following criteria:

• commonly used words and phrases
• current headline-grabbing issues
• geographic coordinates
• forenames and surnames

Smart sorting – the URL suggestions are ordered based on morphological pertinence and some other criteria.

An enlarged selection of site name hints – your customers will be presented with a greater choice of possible web addresses, which will enhance their prospects of pinpointing the right one for them.

All generic extensions are now ‘hint-friendly’ – so far, the site name ‘advisor’ has worked with the .COM and .NET extensions exclusively, but now it covers the complete spectrum of registrable gTLDs (incl. .MOBI, .ORG, .BIZ and .INFO).

Multi-language support – the domain suggestions are now available in multiple languages:

• English
• German
• French
• Italian
• Spanish
• Portuguese
• Turkish
• Chinese
• Japanese
• Korean

What’s more, we are working on adding support for internationalized domain names in the near future.

The newly updated domain recommendations are available on the order page for all reseller hosting themes that we offer. They are also present inside the Hepsia Control Panel for all existing customers.

Owing to its recent refinement, customers will receive even more appropriate URL suggestions every time they make use of the domain search form.
