WordPress sites not indexed by search engines

In the last few days, we have observed something strange – some of our WordPress-powered sites were not being indexed by Google. This applied only to more recent web hosting websites, running the latest stable WordPress release – 3.4.2.
As it happens, WordPress 3.4.2, by default, blocks search engines from indexing your website. However, there is an easy way to change this. Log in to the WordPress admin area, navigate to Settings -> Privacy, select “Allow search engines to index this site” and click on “Save Changes”. Once the settings are saved, search engines will be once again able to find and index your website.
This concerns only websites with fresh installations of the latest WordPress version – 3.4.2. If you have updated from an older version, the “Allow search engines to index this site” option will be enabled by default.

I do not have this Settings -> Privacy in my WP admin CP.
Under Settings I have:
General
Writing
Reading
Discussion
Media
Permalinks
I found this “Search Engine Visibility Discourage search engines from indexing this site” under Reading and have unticked it.
Is this the same as “Allow search engines to index this site: ?
This is an actrile that makes you think “never thought of that!”
After the upgrade everything seems to be ok, i have check on my google webmaster tools, no issue, thanks guys
Sir , i have not seen this type of problem yet , as your directions i have checked the setting , but it already set up to “allow search engine ” . But this information is valuable because it might be done as a mistake . Thanks a lot
